Theres always concrete waves

The surf has been very flat, and when i say very flat, i mean it!!!!
So i took young Toby Mossop for a shred at his local concrete wave, nothing beats pumping through the big section in the bowl.

Its usually a point break...

This is Snapper rocks in the middle of Winter.
Usually known as a world class right hand point break, but this year its been doing strange things, amazing left handers during the Quiksilver pro and then.... These Slabs!! in the middle of winter, I've said it already to alot of people and ill say it again. This is the heaviest wave ive seen break at Snapper Rocks!!!

Road side assistance

A crew of my mates went to grease Fest in Brisbane, i shot some still and footage on the never ending journey there.. Breakdowns, breakdowns and a couple more breakdowns all the way there. This one shot at one of those breakdowns.

The man behind your Stacey Surfboard

Lee Stacey is the guy that would most definitely have shaped the Stacey surfboard you ride, and he's doing a damn good job as well.

Pictured is a young Caba Local by the name of Jake Vincent, all i've got to say is that it was a very nice winters day in the water.

Coastal sunsets

When i shot this sunset a few days ago it was just this amazing light, with all this onshore salty mist in the air and these different shaded tree lines. Shooting sunsets and sunrises are great because they are different everyday.
They're quite cliche i guess, but i don't think a Photographer could ever get sick of getting that epic sunset shot.

Shark Bait

Quinn Bruce looking back into a very nice left hand reef break in northern NSW.
After pulling in and riding this wave, Quinn pulls off and starts paddling back out. Next thing, he says that one of the biggest fins just swam past him and it wasn't a dolphin!!!! He got the next wave in, but his mate Joey wasn't too worried and stayed out there on his own for another half hour!
Im glad i wasn't shooting in the water that day.

Drop Ins!!!!

At Snapper, this is nothing out of the ordinary. That would be the easiest way to describe it.
Full of inconsiderate kooks who basically don't care if your getting the barrel of your life, as this guy probably was until old mate up there thought it would be completely fine to drop in. Well he was wrong, he paid the price too! So he should of...!!!!

Enough said really, as soon as you hear Mick Fanning and Kirra, its usually going to be decent.
He only surfs Kirra when its pumping, i was lucky enough to stop by when it was on and got some of my favourite shots of Mick, the frame before this one got the Front cover of 18Second Magazine, issue 16.

Terra Cotta dreams

Its the little things you walk past everyday that i see differently. I captured this photo of the sun rise casting through onto these old terra cotta feature bricks at a mates house. This is what i came out with.

Sense of humour is better than he skates

This is one of my good mates, Blake Watson.
He skates really well, also has one of the funniest sense of humours ever. I think you kind of have to know him a little bit to actually understand it properly.

But getting back to the photo, this is a back smith i captured on my camera, at Varsity.
It was a bit of a overcast gloomy day, we were waiting for the rest of the crew to show up.
Watto rode out of this after two or 3 attempts. Style if you ask me!!

Craig Anderson, pure style

I've kept this shot for so long now and only just recently decided to post it.
I hope to shoot more of Craig Anderson, he's one of my favourite surfers of all time.
Just the style and attitude on this guy is amazing,
Also one of the only guys making it on another level from free surfing.

I do know that watching Freestone surf is possibly one of the most amazing things to see.
The Kid has only just turned 21!!
He's got more followers on Instagram than anyone would ever dream of, he's got one of the hottest chicks in women's surfing, and he's the current World Junior Champ.

Winter Crowds

So... Winter doesn't really seem to thin the crowd out at Snapper Rocks, Australia.
Here you have a photo i documented late in the afternoon, with probably 4 ft of swell. This is one section, there would be 4 times the people down the line further on this world class point break, known as: The Superbank.

Young Guns

This is someone you will want to watch out for in the near future. Goes by the name of Toby Mossop. You will see me posting regular shots of him. And this is one of them...

This is another young gun who i follow closely and have been for the past 6 months. i also post a lot of stuff of him. This kid in a couple years time is going to be BIG, you just wait!! He's 15 and his name is Quinn Bruce.

Some things never go to plan..

I was doing a shoot with a young Grom who i am always with. When he was waiting for waves, this came through on the left hand side of him, empty!! No one in it, except for this man and his dog watching it..

Groms love road trips!!

I took two Groms (Quinn Bruce, Joey Potter) down the Northern Coast of NSW a few days ago. They were pretty frothing on it. They got good waves, had encounter with a shark and we all nearly got beaten up by a tuff local on probably one of the most open beaches to public!! All because.... We were from Queensland. Pretty Sad really!

I hung around waiting for the sun to set, it ended up being a pretty bad sunset.
So this was the only Golden shot i could capture.
